David Humphreys Appointed Senior Director for Asia Sales

Hong Kong - July 14, 2008- Global IP Solutions (GIPS) the leading provider of high-quality IP multimedia processing solutions, announced today that it has named David Humphreys to the position of Senior Director, Asia Sales.  Humphreys will report to Alan Waldrip, GIPS vice president of worldwide sales and will be responsible for sales and day-to-day operations in the Asia Pacific and Japan regions.

Humphreys brings more than 20 years of valuable international sales, operational and general management experience in the enterprise and IP networking industries.  Humphreys has held a number of senior high-level international sales management positions for companies such as Sun Microsystems and Santa Cruz Operation. He previously served as Director of Sales at GIPS in 2004 and was involved in leading some of GIPS' early sales successes in Asia.  He now returns to the company after serving as part of the sales leadership team at Packeteer.  He holds an Engineering degree from the University of Leeds, England and has an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA.
